If only...

I drive in the car more than I want to these days. It used to be 14 miles a day, but gravejob has me doing 30 more.

So, I listen to the radio a lot. I like it when I have Kirara because i can listen to free XM stations (If they don't collect, it's free, right?) which are quite entertaining. But, I typically drive the "buu" car as I want Jay to have the family vehicle in case she needs to take my daughter to the our Rand'y doctor so he can tell us that she has Croup.

Btw, Em has Croup. This is how she sounds:

The buu car has no XM, so I was listening to the local "80's, 90's, and more" station (doesn't every city have a radio station with that slogan?) and they had a commercial come on. It expressed the point that they're all about serving you not just as a "customer, but more like a neighbor." Paraphrasing, they explained that just like a good neighbor, they offer great To-Go service for their restaurant's food.

So... apparently, it is now socially acceptable to invite your friends over for dinner, and when they get there, you're able to bag their food, take their money, and thank them for coming without them entering your door. (That last sentence reminded me of the test Cristtin recently gave me on facebook: Results: Cristtin 100%, Mike 100%)

I've yet to try this out, but I'm hoping for good results. If I perform well enough, I might even get a good tip!

More vids just for fun:

Cell phone video quality; but still.. very cute daughter o' mine.

Just to explain the last video a bit, Mike wanted a video of Hyrum singing A Child's Prayer. That horrible screeching sound that sounds more like squeeling breaks on a car than anything human is actually what Emily sounds like when she has croup and screams. Emily wasn't done being in the limelight and wanted to steal the camera back. This also explains the jerkiness of the camera as she tried to grab it away.

No, Mom. This does not count as the video I plan to post later of Emily playing. I'm just being a bit lazy about making and editing a video. These are just little videos Mike took after Emily woke up from her nap. (Notice the lopsided pigtails.) I still plan to post a video of Emily later on with better picture and sound quality.

Cute little smiling face but it hurt my throat to hear her voice. I love the way she said "I Love You" and HYamm. Yes please send a better video!!!

Awww.... such cute kids.

Linc's had a cough lately that sounds just like that, but hasn't been to the dr for a croup diagnosis.... It's been diagnosed for Mike as a persistent but improving case of bronchitis. And for me it was a head cold for a bit.... send me an email if you have any non-perscription cure suggestions for Lincoln that have worked on Emily.

I like that video of Emily trying to take the camera back, very funny. Reminds me of something, oh yeah, my kids.

It's funny now how every mile I drive now I think of in terms of mpg. I take a round trip somewhere of about 25 miles and I am like dude that just cost me like 4 bucks.
